From a third-person perspective, players explore open-world environments while battling enemy tribes, robots, and goblins. Characters use swords, arrows, and guns to kill enemies in frenetic melee combat. Large blood-splatter effects occur as characters are slashed, stabbed, or shot. Cutscenes also depict instances of intense violence: a man repeatedly stabbing a victim before cutting his throat; a villain using an axe to kill a kneeling man; a vanquished opponent stabbing himself; characters getting impaled, sometimes repeatedly. Players can also attack civilians, though these actions cause guards to chase/apprehend players' character.
