This is an action adventure game in which players control either an undercover officer or an FBI agent on a mission to infiltrate a drug cartel in Miami, Florida. Players utilize a "click-command"-style of play to study case files, search items and locations, communicate with characters, and subdue/defeat enemies. During the course of the investigation, players can encounter crime scenes that depict bloodstains or small pools of blood on objects and around victims' bodies. Players can also engage in mini-games that include car chases, bomb diffusion, and first-person perspective gun battles. Gunfire sound is realistic, and enemies react to hits by crying "Ahhh" or hitting the ground with a thud. As the storyline concerns drug cartels, there are frequent references to illicit drugs (narcotics, stash, "Cuban Cold"). A small packet filled with white powder occasionally appears on the screen. Dialogue sometimes contains the expletives "bastard" and "b*tch."
