Rating Summary

This is a co-operative third-person shooter in which players try to survive the city of Shanghai as it collapses around them. Presented from a 3/4 overhead perspective, the game allows players to shoot their way out of the city after a mysterious invasion: they assassinate targets, infiltrate guarded areas, and kill many enemies in their way. Assault rifles, shotguns, machine guns, and grenades are used during the frenetic firefights; bayonets, shields, and gun handles can be used to "melee-attack" enemies at close range. The most intense instances of violence occur after players make "morality choices" (e.g., returning weapons or keeping them; accepting money or killing a man to save a woman), in which still-screen cutscenes show the consequences of their decisions: blood is depicted on a pillow, a photograph, and the ground; blood splatters from a man's exit wound (the head), and it can be seen pooling around the body of a woman. During the course of the game, characters use profanity such as "sh*t," "a*shole," and "b*tch."
