In this social simulation game, players create a character (male or female), customize his/her physical appearance, and explore a 2D rendition of Miami. Players' objective is to become a star by pursuing life choices that will influence 15 set attributes (charisma, culture, cuteness, kindness, etc.). Players must climb social ranks and improve their attributes by impressing producers, DJ's, VIP's, etc., and completing certain objectives—socializing around the club scene, landing a particular job. Characters can date each other, and are encouraged to flirt to gain popularity or make business prospects more accessible. The following suggestive dialogue accompanies some of these interactions: "Are we in 5th grade? Kiss me on the lips"; "I really like you. Let's go to your {apartment} for a beverage, if you know what I mean"; "I got a job for you. It involves you and my hot tub."; "He has a reputation as a skirt chaser"; and "I don't care if you got it going on down there. I need something going on up here, too."
Players need to maintain their character's health, appearance, and hygiene (a "urinate" option triggers a visit to the toilet, genitals obscured by blurred pixels) to earn admittance to exclusive clubs, to impress people around the city. Some of the clubs serve drinks to customers, and although the terms alcohol, beer, or drunk are never directly stated, the use of alcohol is strongly implied: Bottles and glasses are present at bars, nightclubs, and VIP beaches; characters stagger, hiccup, and sport red cheeks when they are in a "crazy" state; some characters vomit in the bathroom after drinking too much; and the dialogue alludes to something stronger than fruit juice (e.g., "It's not my fault you can't handle a few beverages!" and "You've had way too much. You might need your stomach pumped."). A menu screen depicts a group of young jetsetters, one of whom is holding a cigar in his hand.
