Rating Summary
This is a strategy game in which players can roam the galaxy, colonize planets, and battle enemy alien forces. From a zoomed-out perspective, players apply turn-based strategy to move ships, build colonies on planets, and grow them to build better structures. Players also engage in 3D real-time space battles between space ships, marines, and tanks; this is usually depicted by fleets of ships shooting lasers or missiles at one another, causing small explosions in space. Cutscenes feature more intense planetary destruction: A meteor crash causes an Armageddon-like explosion; large spaceships shoot down scurrying aliens on the surface of a planet; a three-eyed alien disintegrates amid the heat of an asteroid.
