This is a turn-based role-playing game in which players control wandering samurai who fight the forces of evil. Shiren, Asuka, and Sensei explore small towns, fight enemies in dungeons, perform missions, and interact with the local townspeople. Several townspeople discuss drinking sake (e.g., "You're ruining my sake"), while others are described as being "drunkards," "no good drunken traitors," or just plain "drunk." The Sensei character drinks from a jug (someone asks if "he's hitting the jug again") when he obtains enough experience points (viewers can infer the presence of sake). The game contains a couple of suggestive scenes, which, in addition to the alcohol content, contribute to the Teen rating: In one sequence, a shapely woman in a tight bunny outfit appears; the camera briefly pans close-up on her breasts, her behind, and lastly—her ears. During a boss battle, a deformed skeleton-demon creature is depicted with anatomically correct breasts—though the image is not definitive (i.e., ambiguous enough not to label as Partial Nudity/Nudity). Combat does occur in the game, and it is presented in a rapid turn-based format—each strike detailed via on-screen text. As characters make swiping motions with their weapons (swords, clubs, spears, etc.), the action stops, the menu bars and text options flash on screen, and the opponents' hit points get tallied, depleted. Items such as bombs, magic scrolls, and pistons can be used to cause additional damage. Consumers may also wish to know that the expletives "a*s," "bastard," "hell," and "damn" appear in the dialogue.
