Rating Summary

This is a sci-fi role-playing game in which players assume the role a young boy named Yuri, who leaves his native planet to become a space pirate and to unlock mysteries of a special artifact. Players command space ships, journey through the galaxy, and engage in space combat along the way. In typical ship combat, players select an attack command ("normal," "barrage," etc.) to order ships to fire on other spacecraft. Ships will take damage when struck and eventually explode if a ship's hit points are depleted. The cutscenes represent the most intense aspect of violence: One scene depicts a a character in still-image with superimposed red slash marks, static spurts of blood emitting from his stomach, and a wet slashing sound effect. Another scene depicts the same character sitting up against a wall with a small pool of blood beside him. Text-based dialogue adds to the violent content (e.g., "She used a master blaster to …commit suicide," "You've been slashed through the middle," and "You need both hands to hold in your guts"). The game occasionally references alcohol (e.g., "Hey, you're spilling your beer," "The bartender serves him another drink," and "You've gotta get your booze."); and the expletives "bastard," a*s," and "b*tch" appear in the dialogue. During the course of the game, a handful of female characters wear outfits that expose deep cleavage.
