This is an action game featuring characters from the Transformers franchise. Players control several robot-like aliens (Decepticons) that complete missions to lay claim to the planet of Cybertron, and to destroy other enemy robots (Autobots). Players use laser guns, which are attached to robots' forearms, to shoot at vehicles and other robots. The game includes fiery explosions, hand-to-hand combat with laser swords and spiked clubs, and a robotic boss battle. In some sequences, the robots fall to the ground and cry out after being struck by swinging sword attacks. Dialogue can also get heavy at times with lines like "Death to the Autobots," and "Kill me if you like, Megatron . . . it will not make you right." But while the dialogue gets dramatic, and the combat is loud and frenetic, the graphics (somewhat blocky and polygonal) and fantastical context (small robots fighting each other) serve to lessen the overall impact. In fact, the most intense sequence of battle actually occurs during the introductory cutscene: animated/CGI depictions of robots getting crushed, cut in half (once), or strafed by laser fire from above.
