Earthworm Jim

This is a side-scrolling action-platformer in which players assume the role of a humanoid earthworm (Jim) who must travel the galaxy to rescue Princess What's-Her-Name. Players run, climb, and bungee-jump their way through colorful platform levels. Players use a whip and a blaster to attack birds, dogs, blobs, and boss characters. Most characters burst into a cloud of dust or feathers when defeated; some burst into piles of "cartoony" bones and eyeballs. Along with references such as "Intestinal Distress" and "Slug-for-a-Butt," players will hear loud burp and flatulence sound effects during the game.
