This is an action-adventure game in which players control a wolf named Chibiterasu that must protect the land from evil monsters and spirits. As players traverse through stylized and cell-shaded environments, they can bite, scratch, and head-butt monsters and demon-like enemies. Players can also use a magical brush to plant small bombs that defeat the monsters, resulting in colorful explosion and light effects. One boss battle briefly depicts a character holding knives that have small blood stains on them. Cutscenes sometimes depict silhouettes of characters in battle, including a dragon-like creature whose head falls to the ground. During the course of the game, characters sometimes reference alcohol (e.g., "I wish I had some of Kushi's sake. I'd drink that and go to bed"); players have the ability to obtain sake items and use them to increase energy/ink levels for battle. There is also a depiction of a character smoking a pipe.
