Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure

This is a rhythm-based adventure game in which players assume the role of Raphael, a Parisian thief on a quest to uncover the truth behind his father's disappearance. As the storyline advances, players follow on-screen prompts and musical beats to battle a variety of “cartoony” enemies (e.g., sword-wielding guards, armored thugs); fights are accompanied by grunts, impact sounds, sword slashes, and colorful light effects. In one sequence, players use handguns to shoot paintballs at approaching foes; in another, players use a crosshair target to shoot soccer balls at hang gliders. During the course of the game, a few lines of dialogue include suggestive remarks (e.g., “Please come and see my show once you get a little older” and “I hope he knows better than to kiss and tell. What would my honey say?”). One sequence requires players to open a bottle of wine.
