Rating Summary

This is a bowling game in which players use a variety of zany bowling balls to knock over zombie "pins." The game operates under the premise that zombies have risen from the grave to take over the lanes; it is players' job to destroy these ne'er-do-wellers by throwing eye-, brain-, and cabbage-themed bowling balls at them—the comedic nature of the game mitigates the violent impact. Players determine the power, hook, and placement of each throw while using various power-ups (Shrunken Ball, Shield Up, Dance Fever, Cabbage Head, etc.) to gain advantages over opponents. When zombies get hit by the ball, their limbs (heads, too) sometimes fly off; when players use the brain-themed bowling ball, it may break apart into pieces, too. The back catch of the bowling lane will sometimes belch, spitting out zombie shirts, pants—body parts. And though the sight of a bowling ball hitting a tombstone or buzz saw can be unsettling (the two halves of the ball end up in the gutters), the game is, at its core, a bowling simulation game. It just happens to have "cartoony" exploding zombies for pins.
