Rating Summary
This is strategy role-playing game in which players assume the role of human survivors in a post-apocalyptic Japan. From a 3/4–overhead perspective, players explore urban environments and use magic spells to battle demons and human characters in turn-based combat (e.g., selecting attacks from a menu screen). Battles are accompanied by impact sounds, explosions, and colorful light effects; enemies disappear when defeated. Some sequences depict other acts of violence: a woman getting shot and killed by a gun-wielding character; train wreck victims lying in pools of bright red blood. During the course of the game, some female characters are depicted in skintight outfits that expose moderate amounts of cleavage. A handful of scenes also reference suggestive material (e.g., “Act sexy for me,” “This is no time to get all horndog,” “That's ridiculous! You came here to peep. . .!”). The dialogue contains the words “sh*t,” “a*s,” and “d*ck,” as well as several references to alcohol (e.g., “What a cheap drunk,” “I need more rum,” and “Rum-driven Warrior: The more I drink, the stronger I get!”). One character is depicted with a lit cigar in his mouth.
