Rating Summary
This is an action game, based on the TV series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in which players control fighting turtles that hack and slash their way through levels. Players use “cartoony” katana blades, staffs, and throwing stars to defeat enemies and bosses (e.g., ninjas, robotic aliens, human agents). Action is somewhat frenetic, as enemies punch, kick, and occasionally shoot lasers at the turtles; enemies generally groan and disappear into puffs of smoke when defeated. The dialogue contains phrases such as “Whoa! I thought sewage was supposed to go DOWN, not up!” and “Ohh, man. It's like the Lost Valley of Pukedoria”; one character belches loudly during the game.
