Rating Summary
This is a strategy role-playing game in which players control a company of heroes as they liberate a kingdom from an evil empire. From a 3/4 over-head perspective, players position characters around a grid-based battle area to fight human soldiers and fantastical creatures (e.g., golems, griffins, orcs). Turn-based combat is accompanied by cries of pain, mild explosions, and sword-slashing effects; enemies quickly disappear amid colorful bursts of light when defeated. Cutscenes also depict instances of violence: sword impaling, burning at the stake. One sequence depicts a river that turns into blood. During the course of the game, dialogue references suggestive/sexual material (e.g., “Could it be . . . that you're looking for a book with lots of pictures of naked ladies,” “She's gotta have boobs – big ones!” and “I thought for sure you sought a more carnal relationship.”). The game contains alcohol references and inferences of use (e.g., “I've never had Hispanian wine before . . . *hiccup* This is my first time drinking it, but it's amazing,” and “I'll give you some wine that I have left over…err, damn, I drank it all.”). A few scenes depict a character smoking a cigar. The words “sh*t” and “a*shole” are heard in dialogue.
