Rating Summary
This is a first-person adventure game set on a giant research ship in an alternate version of 1897. Players assume the role of Rose, as she searches for her sister, solves puzzles, and avoids monsters and murderous crew members. Some cutscenes depict monsters impaling and/or disemboweling human victims; one scene depicts a deranged crewmember stabbing a victim repeatedly with a knife. If players are caught by an enemy, brief but vivid cutscenes depict their violent deaths (e.g., a monster slashing the camera/player as blood splatters on the screen; a crewmember stabbing the player repeatedly close-up). Several areas of the ship depict corpses, in varying states of decay—some badly mutilated or dismembered. Large pools of blood and entrails can be seen amidst the corpse piles. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the game text.
