Rating Summary
This is an action role-playing game in which players explore nightmarish realms while defending a mortal realm from invasion. From a top-down perspective, players explore jungles, caverns, and dungeons while using magic and melee weapons (e.g., axes, swords, hammers) to kill various enemies (e.g., human cultists, undead warriors, demons). Combat is highlighted by screams of pain and frequent blood-splatter effects; creatures/enemies often explode into chunks when defeated. Several environments depict dismembered/mutilated bodies, hanging torsos, humans on crosses, chained corpses, and impaled body parts—blood effects often accompany these depictions.
