Dead Space

This is a sci-fi action-horror game in which players assume the role of an engineer (Isaac Clarke) sent to investigate and repair a mysterious spaceship. From a third-person perspective, players explore the space craft to uncover the fate of its crew while battling mutated creatures and aliens in frenetic combat. Players use plasma cutters, flamethrowers, and various abilities to shoot alien creatures, sometimes resulting in dismemberment. Combat is highlighted by laser fire, cries of pain, and blood-splatter effects. Some sequences depict additional acts of intense violence: a woman slashing her own throat after slicing an unconscious man's chest; a man shot in the head at close range; a creature impaling a man then slamming him into a glass window. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” are heard in the game.
