Gothic II

This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of a hero battling evil in a seaside mining valley. From a third-person perspective, players explore open-word environments while interacting with locals, performing quests/tasks, and fighting various enemies (e.g., bandits, goblins, trolls, orcs, zombies). Players use swords, knives, clubs, and other bladed weapons to kill enemies in melee-style combat. Battles are highlighted by impact sounds and frequent blood-splatter effects. The game contains some sexual material: players' character can visit a brothel and have encounters with sex workers—brief cutscenes depict a prostitute (wearing lingerie) kissing, caressing, and grinding/writhing against players' character. During the course of the game, players' character can obtain, trade, and smoke “swampweed,” resulting in screen distortion and slow-motion movements; characters use terms such as “toke” and “stoned” when discussing the weed. The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
