UNKNOWN 9: AWAKENING

This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a woman trying to stop a secret society from obtaining an ancient power. From a third-person perspective, players explore international locations (e.g., India, Mauritania, Portugal) and battle enemy soldiers in melee-style combat. Players uses punches, kicks, and stealth takedowns to defeat enemies. Players can also perform finishing attacks (e.g., repeated strikes) on weakened enemies. Combat is accompanied by realistic gunfire, large explosions, and cries of pain. Some cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: a man stabbed in the chest; characters gunned down. In one sequence, a small bloodstain is depicted on the ground. The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
