Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord

This is a role-playing game in which players assume the roles of adventuring parties as they attempt to retrieve a stolen amulet. From a first-person perspective, players explore maze-like dungeon and battle stylized enemies (e.g., slimes, bandits, undead) in turn-based combat. Players can choose physical attacks and magic spells from a menu to attack and defeat enemies. Battles are highlighted by impact sounds, cries of pain, and blood-splatter effects. When players' character is hit, a stylized blood effect appears on the screen.
