Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate

This is an action game in which players control one of several characters as they try to stop a mysterious villain. From a 2D side-scrolling perspective, players use swords, hammers, and hand-to-hand combat to fight waves of pixelated enemies (e.g., demons, zombies) in "beat-'em-up"-style combat. Battles are highlighted by impact sounds, cries of pain, and screen-shaking effects. An opening sequence depicts a character slashing her way out of a demon, resulting in a brief blood-like effect; a character portrait depicts small bloodstains on a bandage.
