Rating Summary
This is a simulation game in which players assume that role of a medical examiner through a series of autopsy cases. From a first-person perspective, players perform detailed examination of cadavers to determine the cause and manner of the victim's death. Players document the procedure and use various instruments (e.g., knives, saws, scalpels, scissors) to dissect the subject's nude body (i.e., breasts and genitals are depicted). Blood effects are seen as the victim's organs are removed for examination; blood also appears spilling from a morgue cooler during a hallucination sequence. Players can dissect and run tests on the organs for signs of disease and abnormalities. Some of the cadavers' bodily conditions imply violence and/or the aftermath of violence/trauma: a drowning victim; cadavers that have been decapitated or dismembered; a victim of a fire, with severe burns across the body; a cadaver with its hands tied behind its back; a victim of self-harm. Some examinations can reference overdosing from barbiturates and depict pills inside a stomach. One sequence depicts players' character drinking alcohol and getting drunk (e.g., blurred vision, passing out) from a first-person view. Some blurred pornographic material can be found inside a desk drawer and near the victim's body, as stated within a case report. The dialogue can also reference suggestive/sexual material (e.g., “This is the hallmarks of some sick sexual fantasy”). The word “f**k” is heard in the game.
