Julie Setren Kitt

As senior vice president and general counsel, Julie oversees all legal affairs for the ESRB and also serves as corporate secretary of the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC). Prior to joining the ESRB, Julie spent nearly 20 years in the entertainment and tech sectors, including 14 years at the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), most recently as its Vice President & Associate General Counsel. Julie was part of the team that led the ESA to victory in the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case, Brown v. EMA/ESA, which established that video games are entitled to free speech protection under the U.S. Constitution. Earlier in her career, Julie served as Senior Counsel at Sun Microsystems and Associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman. Julie earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the George Washington University.
