This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of an adventurer on a quest to save a prince from factions vying to take his kingship. Players traverse a fantasy kingdom, complete quests, interact with characters, and battle fantastical creatures (e.g., skeletons, ogres, goblins) in turn-based combat. Players use weapon strikes and magic spells to defeat enemy creatures; battles are highlighted by light effects, impact sounds, and cries of pain. Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence and/or blood: a sleeping man stabbed in the chest, with blood staining the sheets; a character's throat slit (off-screen), with blood effects; a character impaled through the chest; a character falling to his death and leaving a large pool of blood. The game contains some suggestive material in the dialogue (e.g., “Is that a big, beautiful horn in your pocket, or were you just that excited to come to my aid”; “If you want my time, you'll have to pay for it…”; “Well then, lucky you. Tonight, may just be special...hand over the money."). In some sequences, characters can be seen drinking alcohol, including a character titled Drunk Man; a prolonged scene depicts a drunk character slurring his speech while talking to the central characters. The word “sh*te” is heard in the game.

This is a collection of mini-games, based on the movie Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard, in which players complete puzzle- and action-related challenges. Completing mini-games (matching items, dancing, swatting away insects, outrunning a boulder, etc.) sometimes allows players to unlock bonus content, including artwork and videos about the making of the movie. In one mini-game, players use a catapult to launch berries at invading insect-like creatures ("unicorns") described as a serious threat (e.g., "the unicorns enter the village and destroy it" and "We're under attack!"). In another mini-game, players must quickly pull a rug from under a charging creature before it smashes into players' screen—a "cracked-glass" effect appears and the screen shakes. The game receives an E-10+ rating for depictions and dialogue involving suggestive humor: A car horn causes two female characters' skirts to lift up, briefly revealing their underwear—the movie director jokes that he has ordered one of the cars for himself; a character named Max wears a loincloth with a bulging codpiece—he sometimes dances, turns around, and makes comments such as "You got that boogie in your bones!" and "Everybody get out in da street and paaaartay!" The dialogue also contains the following line delivered by an evil villain: "You've ruined my life . . . I'll make yours a living Hell!" [Italics added] |
